I485 TSC July 2016 applicant

Hello Friends:

I am waiting for an action on my I485 and want to know experience of other people on this forum. Here is my timeline:

I140 and I485 concurrent : July 26, 2016

I140 approved in the second week of August, 2016 (EB1 premium processing)

EAD and AP was received in the mid of October

Recently contacted Texas Service Center regarding I485 using service request. Response is "required background investigation for your pending application is still open"

I traveled outside US during winter break for 3 weeks and came back on AP at the beginning of Jan 2017.

Anybody on this forum with similar timeline and has already received I485 approval or similar response to service request.

Any response will be greatly appreciated.

Did u file i-485 on your own or hand over to lawyer ? I found I-485 form instruction not so complicated to do by self so in dilemma to do by self or spend money$2000 on lawyer? My lawyer is handling I-140. Awaiting your reply.

My process is very similar to yours, also in TCS filed in late July.
When I did a inquiry the response I got was just that my process was on the queue.
I have received an RFE on my vaccines a couple of weeks back and sent the new doctor form, as the new form requires additional tests that were not required in June/July I did those as well.
Since then just back on the usual wait game
