Work permit renewal denied for lack of fee payment.......while case is still pending

Dear all,
Please i need your advice!
My last interview date was April 21st 2016, and case is still pending since then for reason i cant explain. My understanding is that i do not need to pay application fee for work permit renewal since my case is still pending. I applied for work permit and travel document renewal in January this year, the travel document was approved but the WP, rejected. The current one expires this February ending.

I also did not sign at the appropriate place for signature.

Any advice please from people with similar experience?

You will have to wait for them to send you the RFE explaining the reasons why your application got rejected. One of them will definitely be incorrect fees but ignore the fees issues and fill out a new form and make sure you sign the application also make sure you submit along with the green paper they will mail to also a copy of your EAD and a copy of your i-485 application (notice of action).

I have actually recieved the RFE and have seen the the reasons exactly as predicted by you. I almost ran crazy cos $495is no small money to me now considering the time frame. I am repackaging it again without the fee.
However, is it that they are sending template or what?? I guess the work load is overwhelming them.

The fee is $0. EAD and AP for AOS applicants is free. That is not the problem. Just make sure to sign this time and send it in.

I got the same problems. I paid for 485 which will cover the fee for 765. They rejected my 765 so I resubmitted it with my 485 receipt.
After 2 months, I got my travel document but my EDA is not updated, there was no notice sent to me or update on the online receipt. I call in and ask where is my re-submission status? They told me it is not in the system, and I need to submit it for the 3rd times.

I heard lots of cases got EDA reject lately. Don't know what is going on.
