help with EAD

hello, I filed i-485, I-130 concurrently with all examinations and affidavits but did not file i-765 (didnt know)

timeline:
09/29/16 uscis received package
10/26/16 uscis requested more evidence
11/08/16 biometrics done
11/22/16 received remaining evidence
12/28/16 case ready for interview
as of today no more updates.

filed from Georgia, which i heard it takes 7 months to schedule interview. i want to file for EAD now. how long will it take for EAD to get here? will I have to pay the fee? i-765 instructions says i dont have to pay fee if i send copy of i-485 receipt of payment. im debating if i should file i765 at this point or not

You can file. It usually takes within 90 days but these days it is taking much longer. It is free.
