01/09/17 immigration received my sons paper for AOS based on parent citizenship status
    02/17/17 fingerprint scheduled
    02/10/17 Initial evident mailed

i got an initial evidence that states that they are unable to process my app to AOS due to my financial evidence does not meet up to the requirement for sponsorship
NB; i submitted my last year tax paper work and my bank statements.

my question is what do i have to do or any other alternative regards to that as i want to claim him in this year's tax return?
Pls any advice is highly appreciated.

It's not possible to give you a qualifed explanation without more information. You said that you provided your 2015 tax return and bank statements. But the problem may have been something incorrectly reported on your I-864, lack of W2's, or proof of current ongoing employment and income.

Also, you are asking how to claim your child on your income tax return in addition to what was wrong with your sponsorship proof. You can apply for an ITIN for your child if he was in the U.S. during 2016, but you may be better off waiting until he has his Work Authorization, then get his SSN, and amend your passport to include him. If you apply for an Itin for the child with your tax return (at same time), you will be neligible to claim child credits and other child-related tax benefits.
