India - Digital Birth Certificate for Green Card?

Hi,

I am in the US about to apply for GC thru Marriage and I did not have my BC.

I had to apply for BC thru a local indian service. ( a broker)

He took my details and sent me a "digital certificate". (attached.)

Its a print out, not on official stationary... Broker says that there are no more manually signed certificates, (atleast in this state I am from..). It has a scan code like symbol.

Does any one else have such an experience, am I being duped or is this real... if so, could you share how you resolved this requirement?

I recently got a similar digitally signed BC from Dharwad, Karnataka. Was it acceptable and did it work for you?
