EAD Card OPT to AOS EAD

Hi,

I am about to submit me AOS packet as part of a green card application.
I will be applying for EAD card.

Currently I am working on a OPT EAD as part of my F1 visa!
My lawyer says it's unclear if once the AOS is filed does the Current EAD become invalid.
Should I call my school to confirm?
My employer is also willing to put through a H1B for me! I just don't want to do the H1 and take it from someone when I have the option of green card through marriage.

It doesn't matter if the AOS EAD supercedes your current EAD or not; in either case, you will have at least one valid EAD so you can work.

My worry is about my current OPT EAD becoming invalid when I apply for AOS.

Lawyer is unsure, school website does not say much, online there is missed opinions.
