  • Green Card was received after international travel

I had a biz trip from 2/11~2/17 and came back with L1 visa as before. I got green card in the mailbox after coming home and USCIS's tracking information showed that green card was mailed on 2/14.

    Will this be an issue?

    Thanks!!

Didn't you get a passport stamp upon Green Card approval? If I read your post correctly you already have the actual card, the usual process is that you first get the approval letter and then it takes somewhere between a month or two (can someone confirm this?) to get the actual card, in between you are supposed to make an appointment to get a stamp on your passport at a USCIS office that will become a temporary GC.
As always with these cases, check with an immigration attorney, at most people here can provide their understanding.

Actually, I got the plastic green card today (2/23). What I said was when I came back from Asia on 2/17, I was not aware of my I-485 being approved and the immigration office didn't notify me anything. She just approved my L-1 visa.

But my green card effect date was from 2/11/2017, seriously speaking, after that date, L-1 should be invalid but now I am holding a non-immigrant record on my I-94, I am just worried if this has some violation.

Hope to hear more feedback. I will also check with the attorney.

Try to go to a CBP deferred inspection office and see if they can change it to ARC (green card entry), because that's how you are supposed to enter as a permanent resident.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
