No don't worry, only crimes involving children or terrorist acts disqualify him. My husband (petitioner) has a felony from 10 years ago. His roommate stole a car all by himself and since my husband 19 at the time didn't say anything they charged him too. His felony does not go away. My lawyer told me that his felony wouldn't affect us at all because it doesn't involve crimes towards children, or terrorist acts therefore he still has the right as a us citizen to petition...So don't worry....We already had our interview and that never came up. And they do extensive background checks on petitioner too.
