Hello friends,
I am residing in USA in my Work visa and waiting for my priority date to be current. Now its the time to get my indian passport renewed after the 10yrs of validity and I am planning correct the spelling mistake I found in my father's name in my passport. I have been reading multiple articles about this but still trying to figure out the impact of keeping it in the passport and the steps to correct it. Here is the issue.
correct last name of my father(as per his passport): xxxxxKandy
father's last name in my passport :xxxxxKandi
Here is my question
1. Will it impact any how in the adjustment of status time. It did not impact when I applied visiting visa for my parents.
2. If I want to get it corrected in my passport, what all supporting documents should I submit with set of other documents for passport renewal. I am aware that there should be an affidavit notarized. Any other documents required for this change to go smooth? Really appreciate your help.
