Contract ended while I-485 is pending

Hello,

I filed for I-485 concurrently with I-140. RD is November 4, 2016. My I-140 is approved, I-485 is still pending (EB2, ROW).

Unfortunately I received a notification that my client will end my employment contract soon. My employer however will keep me and they were able to find me a different client (different contract). It's a similar role (software developer) and it's in the same area of employment.

My question is - will this impact my Green Card process at all? So the only thing I am changing is the client - I am staying with the same employer and will still have the same job role.

should be fine

Your application should be Ok it will be tied to your Employer as they should be the ones sponsoring you. Unless the client somehow was the one sponsoring? but that would be mostly uncommon, if at all possible.

Thanks, yes it is the employer who is sponsoring the green card, not the client.
