HELP: I765 Updated after GC

Hey guys,

I need some help. I did apply for EAD/AP with my AOS application but I got my green card before they were even approved.

I got my green card in the mail on March 8th. So my case for EAD/AP changed to "Case Closed Benefit Received by Other Means" on March 10th. I know this is fine to happen since I got my GC already. However, on March 14th, my EAD case was updated to "Case was Reopened" (AP kept the same Case Closed) and yesterday (Friday March 17th) I got a letter in the mail saying that my EAD case was reopened.

The letter:

"We have reviewed the application or petition ("your case") listed above. We have reopened your case, or reconsidered the decision previously issued on your case. We will notify you in writing when we make a decision on your case or if we need additional information"

Should I worry about it?

My AOS status still We Mailed your Card, AP status still Case Closed.

may i know what under category your GC got approved for?

my parents was sponsored by my brother (usc) and they got their GC before the EAD/AP.
I think it shouldn't be a problem, but you have to consult the lawyer ( if you used one for your case)

I did not use a lawyer, did all by myself.

My GC was under marriage with an US Citizen

2/14/17 Walked in Charlotte, NC. Done Bio Process.

Both EAD and AP will be denied as you are no longer eligible for them. There is nothing to worry about.

Thanks for answering. I read a lot here and I know that EAD and AP are canceled because I got my green card already. My concern is why they reopened my EAD case, since they had already cancelled.

But I will just ignore this for awhile and see if they send anything other letters.

Don't worry, just use your Green Card. I had the same thing happened to me got the green card and a month later the EAD.

The same happened to me - but I don't have a GC yet not even scheduled interview - did you get your GC without interview? Not sure why they terminated my l765 saying I got the benefit or status by other mean.
