  • I-485 Ready for interview, how long will receive a letter for interview?

My wife and I got married on 6/17/16, we decided to process her paper work after moving in November for changing her student visa (F1 Visa)
So far we received the notice online "As of March 1, 2017, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status"

Just wondering how long would we actually received the letter for interview from USCIS after the website show they will schedule the interview?

    This is our timeline:
11/20 Sent all Doc. to USCIS
    11/23 USCIS received all Doc.
    12/12 Receipt received
    1/6 Biometric done
3/1 Ready to schedule interview (pending)
3/4 received EAD (we went and apply for SS right after)
3/17 received SS Card in mail

But still have not received letter from USCIS for an interview ..

I think you should call the customer care 1-800-375-5283 and also make an 'INFOPASS' appointment to go to the field office in person, nothing harm in knowing your case status

Call them and ask to speak with Tier 2

                Hello,

I understand your frustration, been there! I always find it helpful calling USCIS and asking to speak with a Tier 2 because they can basically provide you more info about the your case than the first representative who will answer the phone. Let me know how it goes!

                      Hi,
I summited my application on august 1st 2016, I just received a letter from uscis for an interview next month, so it seems it takes 9 months to wait for that interview. Hope it helps.

                        Hello Combasi,
                        I am in St. Paul,MN.
I had my application submitted on April 2016 as a family based green card and I had my interview scheduled exactly after one year that was last week.
So, I believe you will soon receive a letter. Else, you can also check field processing time on uscis website.
                        Good Luck.
                        Jenny.

Had a situation situation, my interview was this month and I didn't receive my letter, had to call and speak to a tier 2 agent, who faxed it to me.

                              Still waiting

I called customer service and the guy said as far us he is concerned there is nothing wrong with the case. I just have to wait. I really don't know what is going on right now. Any updates from anyone in recent times? Please Share your experiences. It helps a lot. Thanks
