  • Waiting

    Hi everyone,

I am also a Seattle filer.

    I applied late January
    got my EAD in July
I've also been waiting for the interview since 03/23/17.

Its taking way too long but I guess it's their normal processing time given what I saw here from other applicants.
Lets hope they can get through this backlog fast

Wow it took them 6 months to give you your EAD??? That is way longer than what I usually see here, did you have any RFE?

my green card interview was last Tuesday Sept 26th 2017. We arrived at USCIS office (Hartford, CT) around 8:15am our interview was scheduled at 9:00am, at 8:43am officer Rodrigue called us inside he was very nice with both of us. My wife and I got inside the his office and he asked us to remain stand, We sworn to say only the truth so then we sat next to each other, smiling he asked me what kind of training I was getting with my M1 visa so, I replied Flight training, he said '' Interesting I feel uncomfortable during the takeoffs. Next He asked questions regarding the application such as my full name, address, Date of Birth, parent's name and date of birth, and Yes or No questions from the application. After that he asked my wife her full name, address, Date of Birth, parent's name and date of birth. He asked who lives with us at our address, how did we meet, what movie we watched together for the first time, when did we start dating, if my wife had kids or if she was expecting it. He didn't look at my photo Album. I brought with us as proof bank statement from our checking and savings account in the last 90days, car loan agreement, car insurance card. he took all my I-94's. he asked for my latest I-20 *** M-1 and F-1 filers** don't forget to bring with you! and I didn't have it. He said he was going to mail a letter to my address requesting it and that would take a little longer for process to be complete it so, my wife asked him if we could go to the public library next to USCIS office and print out from my email, he agreed it ( he told us to leave with the lady in the front desk) so in the end he said I can't approve the process now but, you guys did a good job. So 2 days after the interview my process was updated New Card Is Being Produced.

Hey Agata, I would suggest contacting your Congressman, they get responses regarding SR's faster. I raised an SR 9/2 and I was scheduled to get a response 9/24. I did not get one and 10/3 I went to my congressman's office to fill out a privacy release form. I called 10/10 and it was not assigned to anyone but then the lady over the phone assigned it to someone. That same day I got my interview notice. Looking at it, calling the congressman did not actually help but I hear that if they do the SR then it lets the USCIS people know that you are really waiting for a long time.

You can raise an SR over the internet on the USCIS website where it says submit a case inquiry.

I did raise SR over the internet on Oct. 10th and got email from USCIS saying that I should expect reply by Nov. 1st. I got nothing, so I think now I should go to my congressman/woman and do my due diligence that way.
Which # did call to get in contact with USCIS?

                Thank you

I think I called 1-800-375-5283 but they only could tell me what I already saw on USCIS under my cases. If your SR timeline is the same, then you should get your interview notice in a little over 2 weeks. That is how it was for me, SR was raised on 9/2, response expected 9/24, interview notice received 10/10 with notice date 10/5 for an 11/8 interview date. EAD came a week later.

I already got my EAD on July 27th, and after that nothing moved. But, I hope you are right and there will be movement in my case soon.

                        • Anyone filing from San Francisco Bay area? As of April I am ready to be scheduled for interview but nothing yet. Processing times page says they are on cases from November 28, 2016. EAD approved and received in June. I130 still says received in March.

                          • Waiting time...

I am reaching my limit of patience with USCIS. I filed on 03/11/2017 (Brooklyn, NY), got biometrics done on 4/21/2017 and then my status changed for 'case is ready to be scheduled for interview' on 4/28/2017. Then my "case is ready to be scheduled for interview" changed as of, 06/15/2017 when my EAD went my I-765 was approved and mailed out. Since nothing changed. I did my first SR on Oct. 10th thru internet when I received notice that I should have my replay by Nov. 1st. I got no reply. I did my second SR on Nov. 13th, over the phone now. I was informed that, yes the case is ready to be scheduled for interview, they will assign me to someone as soon as someone will be available, something about extremely overburden with caseload excuse. I see most of applicants who filed around my date already getting their interview notices or already being done with interview. I do not know if it's because of my location or any other reason but, waiting time is sure long one.
