i-485 request for initial evidence

Hello all,

I received a i-485 request for initial evidence request for my birth certificate. It took me a few weeks to get a new one issued from my home government. However, I had lost the notice as to where to send the evidence. I filed for a replacement on March 6th but still have not received a replacement notice.

I have called customer service twice, both times they would not tell me where to send the evidence, nor tell me the status of the replacement notice. I fear my expiration time is near (as I do not know the deadline on the notice).

Does anyone know of a way I can get this information or expedite the replacement of RIE?

I am assuming you could do a service request for "not receive notice" ? I never tried it, but I think that is where you should go with.

This is what I did. I filed for the replacement on March 6th. I got an email saying "Expect a reply my March 28th" but I haven't heard anything or received the replacement. When I call USCIS customer service, they will not tell me anything, not even the status of the replacement notice.

Its a form of e-request USCIS provides this in case an applicant missed a notice for RFE.
As you said, you did not miss it but you lost it so at least your covered.
