I-485 Request for (WRONG) Evidence !!

Hi.

Immigrant is the beneficiary of i130 - the petitioner is his sister (citizen)

I submitted i485 and i485 Supplement A already.

The immigrant is the beneficiary of I-130 form. However, the government thinks the immigrant is a derivative beneficiary and they requested proof that he is the spouse or child of the beneficiary. But he is the beneficiary!!

The government is confused and I'm unsure how to respond, or if I need to send additional documents in.

Any help is appreciated. thx

go on the uscis website and schedule an inforpass appointment as soon as possible so you can explain this to the officer in person. Also re-check the copies of your application to make sure the accident wasnt on your end. If you made the mistake redo the application and bring it with you along with the original RFE they sent you. If you can't get an appointment before the deadline to submit your response then i strongly suggest you speak to an immigration attorney or a local immigration help center so they can help you return the right response in time so that your application isn't denied or considered abandoned.
