  • No 2016 tax return filed yet by joint sponsor

My Joint sponsor made over 80k in 2016 and he is willing to be my joint sponsor but the thing is that he hasn't filed his 2016 taxes yet. i am sending my application tomorrow with only his 2015 W-2 and 2016 W-2. i am also including a letter stating that he hasn't filed his taxes yet that is why it is not with the package and that i will be taking it to the interview when he files the tax. has anybody had this experience? hope this will not lead to an RFE? Please ii really need your feedback urgently. thank you

I dont think that will work. I had the same issue, my husband did not submitted his 2016 tax return so we sent to USCIS only 2014 and 2015. The money he made those years were below the required...

so they sent us a letter saying that they could not process the I-485 and asked for 2016 tax return or a joint sponsor.
