I-485 RFE: Submit evidence of the joint sponsor status
Our situation is family based adjustment of status form I-485. We just received an "request for initial evidence" in reference to the joint sponsor who is a conditional resident. They are asking for: *Copy of form I-551, Permanent resident card. From the joint sponsor.
Although in meantime our joint sponsor (got divorced) and the green card is currently expired. However she did file to remove the conditions and just received one year extension Form I-797.
My question is:
Should we respond to the RFE, with copy of her expired green card together with the one year extension Form I-797 ? Can she still remain the joint sponsor ? OR we need a new sponsor ? Thank you!
