Hi,
I just had my interview with my brother at the Chicago Office.
We got there on time but had to wait about 45 min.
we were called by the IO, he was not too friendly but rather too serious.
Walked in inside the office, asked me to raise my right hand and say the truth
then, we sat down..he went over the file started with the I-485 application questions answered all
I came here as a student and stayed as student until I applied to adj my status then I received the EAD so there is no point being a student and adjusting the status since working violates the F-1 Status.
He asked were you in status when you first applied and said yes
he then asked are you in school now and I said no because I am adjusting my status and I have an EAD to work.
He said where are you working now
then asked where do i work and said XYZ and then he said you stated you stopped working then on Jan 2016 and I said I was working there when I had my EAD through OPT and stopped working there after it expired then went back to school until I received the work permit then went back to work for same company.
after that he asked for my diplomas and handed them
then said ok do you have any questions and I said when can I hear something..he said it will be reviewed and you will get something in the mail.
About my brother, he only asked for his passport and birth certificate.
Then he walked us out and I left without anything in my hand
Not sure what they mean by we will review your file.
What does this mean? Please anyone help who had same interview experience...I am very very worried after a wait of 15 years
