For how long is the Medical Examination good for?

My husband took a medical examination on april 2004 and we are still working on our forms before sending them. My question is...for how long is the medical examination good for? We are sending our applications next week.

medical exam valid 1 year (but I'm no expert)

Hello. I'm no expert but in going through the AOS process, I did ask an immigration representative about the validity of the medical examination. She said that the sealed medical exam is valid for 1 year after the doctor signed the forms but that generally, the exam remains valid for the duration of the application process (if the records were current at the time of filing). I took that to mean that some AOS cases take several years, in which case you do not need to new medical exams yearly. However, if you have not yet filed at this point, I think that the medical records from 2004 are NOT valid. You should call the 1-800-375-5283 help line. Good luck.
