So i brought my husband here on a K-1 visa. We filed a I-485 In December 2016. The info was entered into system on 1/18/17. Biometrics was done quickly, i-765 took over 3 months to process, we just got it in mid April finally. Request for initial evidence came in for a stupidest reason and received back by USCIS from me on 2/24/17, since then we heard nothing. I called and asked for a status update just a few days ago, on 5/2/17 all the website says that an office sent out a response but nothing was updated status-wise on the actual website. We are in NYC. If anyone on here is from the area please share how long this whole thing took for you and how long you guys think this whole thing could take now, its already been over four months wait from the time we filed and we just wanted to know how much longer approximately this could take. Also, for those who have kids together, did you bring your kids to the interview? Thanks in advance!!!

The Adjustment process can take from 6-10 months. If children are being processed for Green Cards, bring them to the interview.

Since your son is not part of the processing, don't take him with you to the interview. Interviewers sometimes get irked at presence of young children.

My application for AOS was received by USCIS on 07/05/2016
Biometrics was completed 08/22/2016
USCIS approved my AOS 04/27/2017
So it took me a little over 9 months here in Orlando.
I received my 797c NOA on 03/29/2017 and it asked that if we had a child here in the US to bring a birth certificate. And no, we did not bring him.
