  • Newark NJ Filers Please Help!

    Hi guys,

Our paperwork and fees were received and accepted on September 8, 2016. Received EAD cards November 17, 2016. When I check status now all it says is fingerprint fee received. I was hoping we'd have an interview date by now. I know they are severely backlogged, but this is ridiculous!

Has anybody who filed at around the same time as us been called for an interview?

Also, I am pregnant and want to know if I need to notify USCIS about this before interview?

    Thank you.

I am a Newark, NJ filer as well. We sent our forms in February for I-485 marriage based GC and as of April 12th we are ready to be scheduled for an interview, but we don't have a date yet.

You filed in February 2017?? We filed in September 2016 and have not been scheduled. That's ridiculous.

There is a huge difference between being ready to be scheduled to an interview and actually having an interview scheduled.

My own case had absolutely zero movement on the I-130‚ I-I485 OR I-765 until the EAD (I-765) was approved after day 106 for me and then one day later I got a NOA for an interview date in June. That is the first and only status on either my I-130 or I-485. You really can't go off what the status of other peoples cases are‚ and at best can use them as an estimate. You never know‚*your case might go straight to interview scheduled as mine did. This process can certainly be challenging and stressful‚ but I'm sure there are many factors we are not really aware of that affect the process. You just have to hang in there and wait patiently

They are Processing Cases As Of Date:
I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status April 6, 2016

So you still have a long way to go. The website case status is not accurate i got my Green Card on 05/16/2017 and my I-130 last update is still 09/19/2016 as Case Was Received

I understand that. I just always thought they went on a first come, first served basis. But I've seen about three people on here who filed this year and seem to be further ahead than I am. Playing the waiting game is just very frustrating.

            But thank you for replying.

Yes, you're right. I saw that as of February 28 they are processing April 6, 2016. They take forever to update that site, too.

CONGRATULATIONS on getting your green card. Must be such a relief for you.

              Thank You,

They should probably be in July 5, 2016 now. Because San Antonio Processing Dates Still says June 5, 2016 and my PD was August 29, 2016 i had my interview on May 09, 2017 so the website updates is about 2 months and 24 days behind.

              Good Luck,
