Hello Everyone,
I will like to know if there is anyone here in a similar situation like me. I entered the US on a student VISA (F1).
I got married to a US citizen two years ago and we submitted my paperwork for an adjustment of status.
I live in Los Angeles by the way.
We did the concurring filling (I-13-, I-485, work authorization and advance parole).
Our paperwork was received on August 18th, 2016
I went for my fingerprint appointment 3 weeks later.
I received my combo employment authorization and advance parole on September 15th, 2016.
We received our interview letter on November 8th, 2016.
We went to our interview and everything went well according to us. The immigration officer said that he was going to review our application and approve the case later but it has been 6 months now and we haven't heard anything more from the USCIS.
We submitted a case inquiry for a case out of normal processing time but we didn't receive any answer.
We schedule an info pass appointment and went to the field office in Downtown Los Angeles but the officer who received us didn't even understand the process. It seemed like he was new and was not well trained so he didn't help us at all.
Now we do not know what to do. If anyone here in the same situation?
Is there anything we can do?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you
