    I have a question:

I have requested my immunization record from my university since they appear to have a copy that dates back to when I was born. After I get the record, I am planning to go to my general doctor for her to look if I need any shots. IF I do, can she give them to me if the insurance covers them? Or should I have the civil surgeon give them to me?

You can get the shots anywhere. What matters is that your final form needs to be filled out by a doctor accepted by USCIS (you can find a list of the doctors in your area on USCIS website), and you can show the proof of your immunization history to him/her, and take it from there.
Just an opinion; Not legal advice.
