  • Got Approved For GC Yesterday!

    ALL,

This group has been really helpful for me during my application time. I sent my package (I-130, I-131, I-765) in January and in Feb 17 I did my bio-metrics and also I got RFE about tax and once I tackled that I got notification saying case resumed on March 3. In april 4 I got notification saying schedule for interview for May 9. Yesterday was a nervous and happy day too. My interview went well but it was long (40 min). The officer was nice but very serious and as we talk more we exchanged jokes too. After looking few documents and photos he said he will approve me. I was done at 1 PM and got notification saying card is being produced at 3:30 PM. Around 6:30 I got another notification saying case completed and I-485 approved. I have no idea when my card will be home but am glad its done

    Thanks ALL

Cleveland OH and it was long but went well. The office was not smiling for few minutes but later he smiled every once in a while. He never asked for any of my originals but was very carefully asking all the details. He looked our pictures and few utility bills and he only questioned about our lease. It was easy and he said at the end I will approve you and asked any plans of travel outside US and I said in September. He smiled and said it shall be there by that time.

So what kind of proof did you send along with all of your forms? Photos, bills and what else? Taxes? We got married after we did our taxes. How far do they need the taxes? I was a dependent on my dad's taxes since he was paying for my school. Any advice?

For proof you just need marriage certificate copy, and few pictures. Tax is different animal as you have to look it up. Your husband will be your petitioner so they need his tax returns and all and if he make money 125% above poverty line you dont need to find a sponsor as my uncle was my sponsor coz my wife is just a student
