Hello my fellow May fillers; I did my biometrics on the 8th June. My case is reading "case received", no update whatsoever. Is this happening to anyone else? I filled from ATL and have a MSC number

Same here. My PD is May 19th.
Biometrics done June 8th.
No change though.
Even when I track my case status it says still the same thing as of May 19th that they received it.
Also when I check the case update the last time it shows it was updated was May 30th.
We still gotta wait another month at least I think.
Hopefully by then we will have something.

If it makes you feel better (I am a March filer) both my I-485 and I-130 still say received. However, we got my husbands EAD mid-way through June. Hang in there!

That's incredibly fast! I'm thinking it makes a difference where it comes to speed when it comes to the background check. For instance, my husband entered on VWP and had never had a US visa, thus never had a formal in-depth background check. So our case falls within the "normal" parameters. Have you had a background check before?

Perhaps I have—I'm not sure. I have held B, F and J visas to the US, but I'm not sure to what extent those include background checks.

Hey Everyone, my timeline so far is:

married 4/3/2017 to USC

May 1, 2017 - forms i-130, i-765, and i-485 were received

May 10th - received notices of receipt

May 15th- received biometrics appt letter for 6/1

May 22nd- did walk in for biometrics

May 22nd - received RFE for form i-130a

May 30th - Response to RFE was received

July 8th - received 2 text msgs about an update on my i 485 case, but nothing has changed online since May 30th

nothing as of then I'm filing from NY which i was told is behind one whole year.

No, no updates. I filed an inquiry about my EAD yesterday, since that was the 75 day mark, but all I have is a note saying my service request hasn't been assigned to an officer yet.

Thanks for all the excellent posts. I have been lurking here, so this is one of my first posts. I just received the update (online): Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview. Here is my approximate timeline; I'm based in New England.

TYPE: AOS / Alien, legally in US, married to US Citizen (2+ years ago)

May 09, 2017: Mailed packet (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131 plus other required materials and forms)
May 12, 2017: (appox) Received by USCIS
May 26, 2017 (appox): Received Biometric notice (for Jun 08, 2017)
May 30, 2017: Request for Initial Evidence (incorrect date on sponsorship form)
Jun 06, 2017: Response to RFE sent off to USCIS (submitted with corrections + related supporting docs)
Jun 08, 2017: Biometric completed
Jun 10, 2017 (appox): USCIS received response to RFE and "will resume" working on case
Jun 21, 2017 (online): "Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview"

No movement yet on I-765 or I-131

It looks like the req. for initial evidence didn't slow down my application too much—for that I am grateful!

I have a new job offer (starting Sep 01, 2017) which I have had since before filing for AOS. I applied to expedite since my employers (a university teaching position) were getting antsy.

Jul 11, 2017: EAD Expedite request made (phone)
Jul 13, 2017: Email from USCIS asking for additional evidence
Jul 14, 2017: Evidence faxed (official offer letter w/ start date, letter from employer stating financial loss to company, cover letter stating financial loss to me, apartment lease and other documents showing need for continued income).
Jul 21, 2017: "New Card Is Being Produced" (USCIS website)

Now waiting for card to be shipped and received. From what I can see on the forums, this can be a very short or very long wait.

Interview status still unchanged (no dates yet). I applied in one state, moved to a new state for summer, and will move again for this new job to a 3rd state. I have no idea how the interview situation works—which state will I get an interview for? I suppose I will have to ask a lawyer.

My husband is suffering alot because he has to pay every month for child support and bills and rent .. i donot work because i don't have the EAD card .. am i qualified for Expedition ? Aldo my my grandmum isvery sick and i want to travel to see her , can i apply for AP expedition too ? Or only one i can expedite ??

June 05 fingerprint done

But when I check my case online, nothing changed since May.
On May 17, 2017, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485
On May 12, 2017, we received your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative
On May 12, 2017, we received your Form I-131
On May 12, 2017, we received your Form I-765

Is that normal?

Help on change of status from b1 to l1

I've been approved for b1 visa in 2010 and have stayed in 2010 for 2 weeks. There after I landed up on a new job while I was in India IN 2016 which required myself to participate into some trainings hosted at my parent company office here in USA. In 2016 I've stayed for 3 months each for two times. This year I've arrived here in April and now my company is wishing to change my status to l1. I'm a mechanical engineer and am conducting equipment training sessions it's been 18 months now I've been working with this company for India office. Regarding All of these I have some questions

1. Change of status will be like a normal l1 visa or just the change in my stay period like extension. Would I get a visa sticker pasted on my passport or not?
2. If I return back to my country for vacation then while coming here again would I have to again go through the normal process of getting a visa?
3 what difficulties I would have in getting my spouse and kids in just COS

This is Adjustment of status' forum, which is different from Change of status. Adjustment of status is adjustment form non immigrant alien (such as l1/h1 visa or any other status) to permanent resident (green card). Change of status is change between two non immigrant visa categories (h1 to l1 etc). You should post in l1 forums to get better answers

As far as I know, AP does not update online, so it is possible that it might have been approved (combo card etc). If you want AP expedited, from what I understand, an INFOPASS appt (with proof of your grandmum's illness—doctor's certificate) might be the fastest way for you to get it.

As far as EAD expedite is concerned, I believe it's pretty random. Some people get it because of economic hardship (desperately need a job), while others have to show other reasons. Remember that if your husband is your primary sponsor, economic hardship is not a very convincing reason, since he has claimed that he can support you. However, I believe that evidence like mortgage, car loans, etc. (or depleting savings) sometimes qualify. It really depends on the officer and your luck.

I had a letter from my employer stating that they will suffer financial losses if I do not start on a specific date (200+ college students asking for partial refunds on tuition). There is no harm in trying though, so I suggest you make your case with proof such as evidence of child support, payslips, rent/mortgage, other bills etc.. Have all those things handy and call the help line, asking to expedite EAD. Good luck!

Seems normal. Call on 75th day to ask about EAD status.
