    Hi all,

I received my expedited EAD + AP card today. The status had changed to "Card being produced" status on the 21st, as I mentioned in a previous post. Here are the next steps:

Jul 26th: "Card shipped to your address on Jul 25th" — no tracking number in online status (I didn't call to ask).
Jul 26th: Received approval notices in mail for EAD and AP (separate mail pieces). AP status online remains "received your form ZZZ" although I received the paper approval notice.
Jul 28th: Received EAD/AP combo card in mail, USPS Priority mail "Flat Rate Window" envelope

Ergo: No tracking# on USCIS website and my online status did not change to "Approved" or whatever. After I made the expedite request and received their email for further info, the status was "expedite request completed" in the detailed notes area of the USCIS website. Evidently it took them a week or so to look at my faxed papers and make a decision.

The card is valid for 1 year, and therefore so is the AP authorization. I will likely have a very long wait for the interview because I am moving to NYC next month, and as I learned from a T2 officer on the phone, I will have to call them to move my file to the NYC office where it will wait to be scheduled, most likely at the back of the queue, all over again. Right now the file is in Boston, where the wait times are inordinately long anyway. However, I am glad that this stage is over (for now), and all I have to do is send the updated address related paperwork in just over a month's time.

I will likely have to renew my EAD before my spouse (US Citizen) and I get an interview. We have been married for 2+ years now, but were only married for 1 year 11 months when we filed for AOS. Hopefully I will not get a temporary green card.
    Hi pnr20,

I filed at Boston office also. Married to USC, PD March 16, 2017, I got my interview on July 21 and today the online status changed to "we ordered your card". I know we all think the wait time in Boston is long according the process time posted at USCIS website, I was ready to count for 6 months at least, but BOOM in June they update my status as interview is scheduled on July 21. If you can hang in here Boston for a little longer, you might get your interview soon.

By the way, in April my husband might have a job offer down in Louisiana, and I checked the process time it seemed Louisiana has a little longer process time than Boston, I called USCIS, the officer told me if I moved down to Louisiana, my file doesn't wait from the end of the line, they will insert it into the group of PD March 16 in New Orleans office. The officer told me don't need to worry about the move.

Hopefully I'll be getting good news this week, or at least notice of an upcoming RFE. At least I know someone looked at my application

Oh that's great to hear that you don't go back to the end of the queue! I can't stay in Boston because I must start work on Sep 01 (teaching position, and the university's term starts Sep 01). Moving to NYC, so the wait times are even longer than in Boston! hopefully we will get an interview sooner rather than later...

            Hi #Lupigirl
How did you do the SR?
            Online or through the phone?
Can you tell me the details please.
I want to raise it too
            Thanks

I did my inquiry online, but yesterday I decided to call just to verify if I would be getting a response via email or post. The person I spoke with said I should have already recieved a response via email. I confirmed that I hadn't (checked junk mail and spam just to be sure) so he put in another request for me. This SR shows up on my account as "not yet assigned to an officer". The confirmation number begins with T1B, instead of SR, so maybe that's the way it shows up in the system when done by phone? Anyway, he seemed pretty sure my card would be going into production "in a few days" so I think May filers should start to see some movement on their EAD's.

              • Current EAD soon to be expired

                Hello everyone!

I'm currently on DACA but filed adjustment of status based on marriage to a USC.

                Filing from Virginia
                PD: 5/22/17
                Bio: 6/22/17

The only change on my case is " your case is ready for an interview" since 6/29/17.

I'm worried because my current EAD is about to expire on Aug 25. My two jobs are requesting me to update my EAD in order to keep the jobs. I submitted an inquiry on 8/7/17 but it tells me to expect a reply by Aug. 29!!!

Does anybody have a situation similar to mine???
Thank you so much!! And best wishes to all of you!!!

That's a relief. I've been waiting for 95 days already since my PD lol. Can't wait for the EAD!
