I'm so pissed with TSC. Why cant we consolidate our complaints and make a petition or something? Why do we have to wait for up to 2,5 years when people in NSC get approved within a few months? This is so unfair and I really want to complaint legally on TSC for their inefficiency.

Perhaps if you have a friend living in one of the states under NSC's jurisdiction and they let you receive mails at their address, you could update your address with USCIS and TSC will transfer your file to NSC, and expect a much quicker response given that NSC has progressed well beyond your priority date. Factoring in what Vitamin1984 said, if it takes NSC 3 to 4 months to process asylum-based green cards, then they are probably approving those who applied in March/April this year. Any earlier date one sees on USCIS processing times for NSC probably reflects a long-pending case delayed by factors such as pending background checks, RFEs etc.

Yes, I have a friend who lives in Chicago and he agreed to give me his address. I made a change today. Are you sure TSC will transfer my case to NSC 100%? I hope this will work. I really dont want to wait another year simply wasting time.

Are you guys sure that this is a good idea? I was thinking about the same trick, but everybody told me that this is very risky. Buchavka21 please keep us updated about your new timeline.

Can you specify their experience in more details? Has anybody in here tried this before and what I should expect from that change? Like once I see in my on-line profile that the change of address is processed what should I do next? How do I know that they transferred my case to NSC? Will they send me a notice of that? Will my receipt number change?

I don't know any details but they did get their GCs much faster that was expected at TSC

Can you specify what risks this maneuver involves? From what I know uscis does not require any proof of address change. You just update it and that's it.

In my opinion, USCIS background check is more of criminal check and name-check hit against certain databases, thus the reason they need one's fingerprints.

Not really. I just go to college here and use my credit cards. I do not receive pay stabs, neither did I file taxes. But I could theoretically use cash only in Chicago and have some other users added to my credit accounts. So I think I'll be fine.

Hopefully, your file should be transferred and you should get a mail from them telling you when they do so.

Last year when I originally applied for my i131 together with my i485 at TSC, a few weeks later TSC transferred my i131 application to NSC, my best guess being to balance workload, and I did get an i797 notice informing me of my file transfer to NSC. 3 months later my i131 was approved at NSC, but it was taking about 5 months to get the same approved at TSC.

I received Biometric appointment letter for both Green Card and RTD, but they are not scheduled same day, RTD the next day after Green Card biometric...
Guess I should take 2 days off

The appointment is exactly 1 month after they issue the receipt...

Bro, you can do both fingerprinting on the same day. Just take both receipts with you. You need not go twice. Also, if there's a nearby field office closer than the one indicated on your receipts, you could even go there and you will be fingerprinted. You could even go some days or a week or two before your date, specially if you can't make it on your actual bio-metrics day.

With your bio-metrics appointment notice, you could actually walk into any field office nearby to have your fingerprints taken, especially if they are not busy or too busy.

Have a look guys. They rolled back from end of July 2016 to April 2016 for Asylum based the max wait is now 28 months and to March 2015 for employment based - up to 41 months of waiting... Idiocy.

Omg! I can't believe, and this is the third time that they have changed it. I don't understand why :-( my receipt is from September/2016.

How about flying to Chicago for a day or two to be thumb-printed? You could get a round-trip to Chicago for 100 bucks if booked early. Changing your address back might not make sense at this point.
