it wont even matter if you talk to tier 2 officer as they are going to give you the same reply. Still if you want to talk to them simply tell the officer you want to talk to tier 2 . I applied in May 2019. Biometrics updated in Feb2020

        Thanks for replying.
my dad applied in April, 2019. USCIS still has not asked for biometrics. No update since then. May be they apply previous biometrics. He also applied for travel doc with i 485. They applied previous biometrics on that application in oct. 2019. No update after that.
now website says maximum 31 months which is 2 and half years. So frustrating.

31 months is a **** number is Texas keep doing like this every quarter. Right now more than 35000 cases are pending. But Texas will do around 1000 cases every 4 months. So if they want to finish 35000 cases it will take 35 quarters which means 11.5 years. To finish the last case of 35000.

          • Hello everyone!
I applied in March 2018 and still no response, TSC. Back in July when I checked the processing times it showed that they were processing cases from September of 2018 so I went ahead and submitted an outside of processing times request. I was told that I should hear something within 60 days. Yesterday marked exactly 60 days and I still haven't heard anything. I called them up and they said that right now they are processing the cases from February of 2018 and my case was filed in March 2018, and it does not matter that I got that kind of reply.Does anyone have any tips on what to do?

the Only tip is WAIT in this corrupt system of USCIS. Texas is working day and night on all other case types like i-140, i-131,i-130 and i-751 but when they are asked about i-485 they always have a backlog.

                • Same here applied April 2018, submitted an outside of processing time request, was told I would be contacted within 60 days.

Called them last Friday, I was told the processing time is now 8-31.5 months for TSC and to wait.

                  • If you are tired of waiting and you have waited for more than 1 year, the best is to sue USCIS in federal court aka file for Mandamus. I heard this from lawyers and you probably need a lawyer to help you do this.... I have not waited that long yet but when I get to that point I want to do this and find a good lawyer to help me.

                      • Hello, guys!!

In the next month ill be applying for the I-485 form, based on asylum.

From all the information that I've gathered, the best center to apply is Nebraska.

Is there any way I can choose to apply in this center. Or is it a random decision?

I'm currently living in Los Angeles, California

                        Thank you!

We all are on the bad note (bad luck) that we have to apply under the Texas Service Center.

Sahil728 Service Centers are meant to work on all the forms based on load. If TSC is working day and night on time then we shouldn't have the backlog. TSC and NSC both are service center.

Why do you think people talk about delays with their cases at TSC but not NSC because Nebraska Service Center is fast and are on time (Latest approval for I-485 for Asylees was February 2020 case for NSC)

I hope everyone get their approval soon.

                          God please help us all!

Is the interview for I-485 based asylum or I-589 Asylum process?

If it is I-485, Can you please share the timelines?

Jasmine22 Here is one of the example of I-485 pending from last 5 years

Maybe you can sue USCIS after 1 year of waiting on naturalization but I don’t think it will work for Green Card, because on their website says up to 31 month of waiting. So first we have to wait until that 31 month are up and then we can do something.... If they won’t increase that dumb waiting time....
