Has any March/April/May filer had any recent luck with NSC? RFE or approval? Just trying to gauge what is going on with USCIS right now. April filer here --

Prayers and kind thoughts to all
In fact ,it is quite disorder and unclear for filing timeline
As said by luckycharm 4111. some applicants in 07/2020 has got their GC but some applicants who filed in 04/2020 are waiting now.
For the process of I485, depends on too many factors: individual, category even countries
Somebody's form has mistakes. may lead RFE so cause delay.
Or too many same spelling names will cause delay in background check. Usually occurs in Chinese people.
Different categories has completely different progress. For Family based. it will be dispatched to local USCIS branch to process. For EB, more docs like I864 required and lower prob to waive interview.
For different countries, they have very different processing times. I know some EB processing cases, applicants from North Europe are very fast processing. 3.5 month could get GC but India and China ones waiting over 10 months. Because they have a very large amount queue in pool. I guess Asylum based are same situation with EB.
As all I said, we could not locate the process very accurately.
Although we could track case status in tracker App, but we only know the petition number.
I guess April should be almost complete now. Maybe only beginning for May for Asylum based I485.

            • Guys,

As my husband and I are approaching our two years of waiting a decision on our long-delayed I-485 case, we are sincerely thinking about filing a Writ of Mandamus, and have spoken to a lawyer. This is not what we expected to do and clearly not the path we wanted to pursue, but we are left with no other choice. We simply refuse to be punished with these waiting times for no reason.

We feel ignored just as many of you probably, and we realize that we have to do something in addition to receive what we worked for so long. It's unfortunate but we simply cannot wait for two-three more years. I know it sounds exaggerated for many of you, but 24 months processing times seemed unreal a year ago, as well.

You are definitely right on that. I can feel the depression we all feel every day. I am also waiting for I-485 approval for myself and my family from last 2 years. Applications was received to USCIS on 11--09-2018 and the most painful thing is the Expedite Request was approved in July 2020 and The case was supposed to be adjudicated within 45 days as per USCIS email on Expedited Approval but as of today, Nothing and no Correspondence or anything from USCIS. Let us all know, how this Writ helps so we all can consider using the same path.

I haven't received a reply yet. At the same time, I spoke with the Immigration Officer Tier II yesterday and she said that my concerns would be better addressed by my local USCIS field office which was processing my case. What a surprise! The last update on my case was from February when I did my fingerprints again. I wasn't notified that my case was transferred to the field office (in Pennsylvania). Here is what the USCIS field office does: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-.../field-offices I don't know what to expect now. They might need a second interview, but this is not an asylum office. Perhaps, they just transfer cases to local field offices to reduce the workload: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-up...ansfer-updates Not sure what exactly triggered this outcome, but I hope it's a sign that they started working on my case.
My case is at USCIS field office as well!! No idea why....I filed at NSC in September 2019 and got a notification that the case was transferred to the local USCIS office in May 2020!! No updates after that!!!!!

                          • Uscis received my application on August 20, and collected the fingerprint fee on September 1. Then I have been waiting until now, there is no update, serving in Texas

If your case transferred to local office most likely you have to interview by the local office my friend he did that last year
                              he is from China.

I think they want to interview us again, but can't due to COVID. The strange thing is that my case status does not indicate that my case was transferred to the local office, yet it is there, according to the Immigration Officer II. It might be some internal procedure. I can only guess what is going on.
