      • Hello everyone. My application for asylum based green card is approved after a hectic back and forth with USCIS. I hope the following detailed list of events helps.

        My timeline is:

January 2015: Asylum filed (I know forever ago)
January 2016: My lawyer and I submitted “short notice list” addition form to have USCIS contact us in fewer than 21 days for interview

        March 2017: Asylum Interview
        April 2017: Asylum approved (affirmative)
March 2018: I-485 applied and received by USCIS
        April: 2018: Biometrics taken
August 2018: Notice issued saying my case had been transferred to asylum office
October 2018: Moved from MI to VA
October 2018: submitted change of address
February 2019: appeared before USCIS field office to inquire my case status. They told me it is with asylum office but couldn’t tell me which asylum office. Also submitted online inquiry through 2019 but got no response

February 2020: contacted congresswoman office and they submitted first inquiry. USCIS said the application is pending and told us to inquire again in 90 days

June 2020: congresswoman office submitted second inquiry but again USCIS said my case is pending

September 2020: congresswoman office submitted a third inquiry. USCIS said my case was still undergoing the necessary background checks and can’t be sped up.

November 2020: received notice that my case was transferred to Texas Service Center

November 2020: called USCIS customer service and opened a ticket. They responded saying my case in in line to be processed

December 2020: congresswoman office submitted a FOURTH inquiry. TSC responded in January that my case is in queue to be assigned to an adjudicating officer

January 2021: received notice from Texas office requesting evidence (RFE). They needed new medical form I-693 since the one I submitted 3 years ago expired.

January 2021: submitted new form I-693
January 2021: Texas office confirmed receipt of form I-693

February 2021: received notice that my I-485 is approved and new card is being issued. Phew!

That is all folks. I believe the trick is to nag them through inquires. I advise you to get hold of your local house representative or senator.

        Good luck!!

is there anyone who has same receipt notice problem with Texas Uscis?

You can have your DL renewed with i-94 and Asylum approval notice. Notices of action are delayed these days

Immigration / Federal attorneys don't need to be local, they can practice law all over USA and help you remotely from anywhere.

Yes, I tried today, an official rejected my I-94, I insisted, and she got help from another official. Thanks to God, he used to SAVE system to approve my docs, but the system still shows my expired EAD. He sent an update request to the SAVE program and he will call me if he gets a new update in 4-5 days.
I emphasized several times that I’m asylee, and my I-94 is unrestricted, but they don’t accept it. My lawyer has already told me that process, anything surprised so let see what happens if I got a new update from SAVE.
It is very hard to live in small, republican states, I can’t blame too much them because they don’t see too many asylees or immigrants so they don’t know how the law works exactly, so I’ll move soon.

You can expect the receipt soon, I hope. My friend has received the EAD ‘case was received’ notification yesterday from TSC.
