Can you please let me know how you submitted e request for taking finger prints? My father filled in April, 2019 at TSC and got no appointment so far. very Heart breaking.
Hi Prince Ali, I went into USCIS website https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do and I chose the option "Did not receive notice by mail" and fill the information, you will need A-Number, Form Number, Receipt Number and the information of your father.
When they ask you which notice wasn't received, select "Appointment" and under "Last Action on your Case" I wrote what currently says when I check my Case Status and then I said that my Biometrics Appointment Notice has not been received since the date they received my case.

    • Hi all,
my asylum-based I-485 was assigned to MSC (National Benefits Center). The last action was that the fingerprints were taken on December, 8th, 2020. The case wasn't transferred to Nebraska Service Center (however, I'm in California and expected to be assigned to the Nebraska center). Someone just told me that local offices are now handling asylum-based I-485. Can anyone opine on that?

I live in CA and my case assigned to MSC too. The last action also was that the fingerprint were taken on 8th October. It’s kind of ridiculous.

Thank you so much for your reply. I did the same today. Lets see what comes next.
            keep updating about USCIS response.
I myself is Sep 2019 filer at Texas Center. Uscis took my fingerprints in oct 2019. After that no update. I did several congressman inquiries but got same copy paste reply that your case is under normal processing.
If Processing Time goes down on website, only then system will accept the e request of "case outside normal processing."

May 2019 - applied for GC
              June 2019 - biometric
              February 28, 2020 - second biometric
case status now: case updates for showing fingerprints (same status almost a year).
I am trying to contact USCIS 2 times with congressman - answer is a general: your case in normal processing time.

One question what I want to ask: when you got GC, this GC from witch date? Asylum approval or From date you file I-485?
We share almost the same timeline,
Any update about your case and which service center is handling your case

Unless there is something obviously fraudulent about your asylum case, otherwise it’s about your relationship.

Unless there is some security or eligibility issues such as pending security checks, you get decision on the spot.

                      • My RFE was received and I’m waiting for their reply. I-485 sent in March 2018, RFE from USCIS was received in March 2021. It took 3 years

                          • Hi guys,
I have filed i730 (petition outside USA), recently it got approved and sent to NVC. I have contacted NVC and collected tracking and invoice numbers. When I check online status to pay the fee, it shows nothing. Hence I contacted NVC again and they said the case cannot be tracked online as it goes directly to the embassy.
                            Is it correct?
please share your thoughts if anyone has experience?
                            Thanks

Yes, that's correct. The Embassy is gonna contact you once they receive your case, and you'll be able to pay all the fees on the Embassy website. However, if I remember well, refugees and asylees are waived of paying any fee at the Embassy. Anyway, when they contact you they'll tell you what you have to do and/or pay, step by step.

                              • Question on I-485. "Have you EVER been arrested, cited, charged, or detained for any reason by law enforcement?"

I have never been arrested but I was called to the local police station in my home country and I was summoned several times in couple years time.

My question is "how should I answer this question?"
Should I give a very detailed answers such as date, time, duration, location and the reason for every summon?

I am not bale to hire an attorney. Any help will be very appreciated. Thank you inadvance.
