The RFE was about the new Medical(I-693) as the old one has expired.

Is your case originated from the immigration court or direct from USCIS? Thanks!

        It’s from USCIS

Thanks. I thought they had extended the validity of the medical to 4 years.

They never extend the validities of medicals.

However, prior to end of FY2021, USCIS has given temporary extensions to allow adjudication of applications in order to fully utilize the annual visa numbers for employment based applicants. The extension expires on the first day of FY2022.

            • Hi all,

my case was updated and it said that my case was transferred to another office. Can anyone tell me what this is? And where it would be transferred? Or if it’s a good sign or a bad sign?

              May 2018

              TSC

              thanks

It is a good sign that your case is moving. Looks like they are above to schedule an interview and if it is true then it should be simple interview going through your I485 form and shouldn’t last longer than 30 mins max.

just curious are you Principal or Derivative Asylee?

                • Hi,

thanks for your reply, I hope it turns out that way though. Really sick of waiting for 3.5 years.

                  I am the principal asylee.

                    thanks
As a matter of fact, TSC and NSC has stopped accepting any new asylum based applications.

All new applications will be adjudicated in your local field offices. And your case will now be transferred.

You can see clearly in the below document in FY2021 Q3 both TSC and NSC has no new asylum based cases.

                    • Thanks for that,

so does that mean the processing would be quicker? Or will it be collecting dust at the field office as well?

happy for any sight from the members of the group.

                      thanks

I would expect it becomes faster for people traditionally within TSC jurisdiction while slower for those residing in NSC jurisdiction.

Of course, once the cases are processed in local offices, each state and even cities would be different.

You can get a gist of how fast things are moving by referring to my last post's document, which listed how many cases each office receives, how many they processed and the backlog.
