Also can I ask what is your title? You seem very confident about certain things and dismiss a lot of people's statements.
The data's "applications received" reflect data that falls under the "jurisdiction" of that office.

As NBC has no jurisdiction of the case, but rather just a middle stop, it has no "applications received", otherwise there will be double counting (i.e. # of applications received counted both at NBC and at service centers / field offices).

I will not reveal my "title" but I do have strong convictions of certain things that I can find strong and concrete evidence for.

And of course, I might be wrong on many things, and welcome any rebutals. but please do have law and facts if you disagree with any of my statements.

that said, the reason you see a lot of processing of employment based is USCIS needs to use all visa numbers before end of FY2021 (which unfortunately they did not, and wasted more than 60k visa numbers).

Lastly, the best course of action is not Mandamus, but a class action suit. I don't have the time for this but I do recommend those who do work with non-profit or civil rights groups on that.
I am not judging if prioritizing employment-based is the right thing to do or not, I am just saying that this seems to be their priority (based on their own numbers) and it is very unlikely that they will transfer cases from TSC to NSC to help clear the backlog since that does not seem to be their priority now. What I don't understand is if they wanted to prioritize employment-based in order to use the visa numbers, why didn't they do before the end of the FY2021? Now it is too late. Lastly, I agree that a class action lawsuit is the best course of action but the likelihood of having that done is way smaller than one just filing a Mandamus.

Just to be clear, the increase in employment based processings happened close to the end of FY2021.

You will see and I expect the #s decrease once FY2022 data is released.

It should not take long, maybe around a month. But in some cases it takes them 6 months or more to review it. Fingers crossed.
When they transferred your application to another office, was it your local office or was it NSC?

The reason they have stated is for faster processing.

                  This is getting ridiculous.
Did you hear anything back from Nebraska office?

                      • Hi Everyone,

I have two questions and would appreciate if you could share your thoughts.

                        1. After getting GC I know that I have to update my social security to remove any restrictions. Does it have any impact on tax returns? Is is the same amount of tax that permeant residents pay vs others.

                        2. In order to travel aboard what should we do? Should we apply for travel document even as green card holder ? is that all we need to do? I was checking online and looks like the fee is around $220.

                        Thanks

I don't think it has any impact, but anytime they need to verify your info then they will know you are a permanent resident. so it is important to update it.
RTD .. Is cheaper but only last 1 year, it is accepted by many countries as a passport.
The entry permit looks the same as a RTD but it is valid for two years, most countries required visas por entry permits. and i believe it cost a lot more.

                          I–131 Application for Travel Document ........................................................... 590
I–131 Refugee Travel Document for an individual age 16 or older ................ 145
I–131 Refugee Travel Document for a child under the age of 16 .................. 115
I–131A Application for Travel Document (Carrier Documentation) ................. 1,010

HOW LONG AFTER APPROVAL DID IT TAKE FOR YOUR GREEN CARD TO ARRIVE?

status was changed to 'We mailed your new card" 3 days after the interview on 17th and expected delivery date based on tracking number is on 23rd.

So based on what I read as a permanent resident I can use the green card to come back to US but in order to travel aboard for most of the countries I need travel document to use instead of passport to get their Visa. Some other countries like Canada does not even need travel document as they only need GC and eTA.

                            • Any one has an idea how long it will take to receive the RFE from the date the system updated “on date we mail a request for additional evidence” from Texas service center?

Sadly nothing, I had earlier raised an outside of processing time request and the update I got after that was my case being transferred to NSC and that is about it. Planning to call USCIS again to ask for an update or else raise another outside of processing time request to get an update.
