I dont know what can I do. I think we have two options 1- Being patient and hope for good news in the future 2- hire an attorney for followup.
I hope you give your green card as soon as possible. It is more than 40 months that I applied for change of status but I hope for good news in the future.

Depends upon your country of citizenship. GC gives you right to travel back to US.

You cannot travel to anywhere without valid travel document or passport. GC is not valid for international travel purposes.

You might be fine if you have your old travel document that satisfies the validity requirement of the county you travel to.

I-131 will not be dismissed as long as you submitted the biometrics if requested.

what is the average time for processing green card apps for assylee in 2022? Is there any way we can speed it up?

My case was on hold for 22 years on inadmissibility grounds but my question is after my recent interview 6 months ago as I mentioned I was already interviewed after the case was on hold for 22 years, again I like to repeat I was interviewed six months ago which would mean that the case was released to my local office, I also don't understand what do you mean by field office is it my local USCIS office? Thanks.

it does not matter you are interviewed or not.

Some case involve complex legal reasoning that will be sent to HQ for review, after getting facts and statements from you through interview.

Like I said, nobody knows exactly where your case is right now (though chances are it's not in field office or field office is waiting for clearance).

Hi all, does anyone know the process after asylum based i485 interview at local service center, i.e. does the immigration officer at local service center after interview sends the file back to another office where asylum i485 are processed or they approve at local service center and sent the GC. It's been 6 months since my interview but no decision.

It depends.

Most cases (i.e. those without any inadmissibility concerns) will be adjudicated in the field office.

However, for cases that might involve national security, fraud, identity issues, security clearance, and other issues, cases might be transferred to HQ, fraud unit, asylum office, or on hold until clearance is received.

You will not know when your case will be approved. The only sure way it can be resolved quickly is to sue.

And like I said, it's useless you ask the question here because nobody knows what happened to your case.
