Thank you. But I'm not sure when I can apply for naturalization. Some people says they will send me 10years green card and I can apply citizenship after 2 years. Some people says I still have to wait 4 years for applying citizenship. I think your green card in your hand, right? Can you please let us know what is the expire date and when you'll apply for citizenship?

            Thank you.

              • Good morning Everyone

So I received an update on my I-485 application today, this is what it says

******On February 26, 2022, we sent a request for additional evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number SRC***********. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence. If you do not receive your request for additional evidence by March 13, 2022, please go to*******

I am a little concerned because I am not sure what exactly they need. hopefully it's just medical exam, I don"t know. Has anyone here received a similar update? what was requested when you receive the mail?

                So this is my timeline

                March 2018 Asylum Granted
April 2019 sent I-485 form TSC
                February 2022 fingerprints
Jan 20th 2022, application transferred to another service for faster ...
                Jan 25th transferred to NBC
Feb 26th 2022 Request for additional evidence

I have received the same update on my case too. It’s been 10 days Still waiting for a mail to arrive.

I hope it’s only Medical and Photos.

Will keep you posted once I receive it.

This is why I kept saying this type of post is not only useless but actually harmful.

We all know the most likely reason for RFE in this case is update medical.

That said, what you received has nothing to do with everyone else’s post.

While we are all happy for progress in your case, the truth is, your update will not help anyone because their case is different from yours.

The point is - there is no need for panic or stress. Just wait for your RFE and respond accordingly, either yourself or through an attorney.

I respect everyone here as we all are going through immigration process, we are here to help each other and keep posted if we have any updates.

First you need to cool down and stop intimidating people with your post.

Second you need to know that this is the conversation between me and Josh26. Stop intruding into other peoples conversation.

Third you need to know that you don’t have right to JUDGE whether the post is useless or not.

In this conversation, we are just sharing the updates and expecting everything to go smooth.

Not meant to offend anyone but you did not get my point.

It is of course great that everyone sharing their updates and provide a sense of what's going on especially in TSC legacy cases.

However, my point is that, it has to be noted immigration cases are highly individualized.

Your case has zero relationship with any other's cases.

Whatever update you get is for you and you only. We will be all happy if everything went well, but trying to suggest what you get is what s/he is going to get is simply wrong.

also as I try to point out is there is no need for any stress. Instead of second guessing, its better for you and your health to just relax and wait for the RFE / notice.

If there is anything out of the norm, please specify here and we will try to help.

Yes, I agree. Its case-by-case but you should understand that we are talking about the RFE's issuing after 2-3 years from filing I-485, most of the common RFEs are Medical and photos.

That's what we are talking about nothing else.

I appreciate your concern but lot of people here they don't know the norm that's why we are talking about it.

Hope you have a great day!
