Judging from the applicants on this thread, that date is nit very true as many people who applied in Jan or Feb in TSC got their GC already. So, all we can do is cross our fingers and pray.

                  • Hi all, here is my timeline:

Asylum approved by IJ in2006 (i know, long time ago!)
I am the only applicant. I haven't traveled internationally.
AOS- green card, travel passport and EAD received by NSC on 10/17/18
Biometrics done on 11/20/18 for EAD and Green card
                    EAD approval notice 12/11/18
                    EAD in mail 12/20/18

Couple of questions - EAD is category C5 for 2y. Isn't is supposed to be C9?
Why not biometrics for travel passport? Is it normal?
I have been getting financial support trough FAFSA for my college education, do you think this will be frowned upon?

                    Thanks in advance!

                            Hello,
My case was also transferred to asylum office in August 2018. I have another case (I-730) which was similarly transferred to asylum office about a year ago. I don't know what is going on but i heard they transfer cases to local offices if they want to do interviews (God forsake). Do you know what local office your case is transferred to? Also when did you file your I-485?

                            Good luck!

Hi! My case wasn’t transferred to asylum office . It was transferred to my local office . I made my research and as I understand they transferred it from one service center to another ( from NBS to TSC ) I got a letter a week after transfer stated that “we transferred your case to another office to speed up the process. I filled March 2018. Pls if you don’t mind share your story.

Oh I see. Yours is just an administrative issue then and hence no need to worry much.
I filed my GC application in March 2018, 10 months after my asylum was approved. I have no idea why that happened but I heard it is a rare thing to do. Few weeks after my asylum was approved, I changed my address to the state I was working in. And subsequently I filed both I-730 and I-485 there (both of which are not sent to asylum office). The interesting thing is that I don’t know which asylum office has the cases.
