has anybody got Permanent Residence card for 11 years of validity?


For an asylee who obtains lawful permanent residence, the date that they became a lawful permanent resident is backdated one year. For example, if you received a green card approval on August 1, 2022, your green card would state that you have been a resident since August 1, 2021—it will be backdated one year. You will notice that the expiration date will still be 10 years after the date your green card was approved (in this example, August 1, 2032).

i have an interview next month for my asylum adjustment of status . Does anyone had an interview for AOS and what they will ask ?

And by the way i have submitted my medical from with my AOS package why they did ask my to bring another one at my interview since its been less than two years so the one I submitted is still valid ?

Please read again. The instruction in the letter should be bring your i693 package if you did not submit that with the application.

It doesn’t mention that so i am afraid that they updated the medical form so they need the new one but anyway i wanna know what did they ask you during the interview?

It's meaningless to ask questions like this.

Each case is different. While generally they will confirm your answers on I-485, it all depends on your case.

You should get an attorney if you worried about the questions they are going to ask.

No i am not worried but only the medical thing makes me confused since i already submitted with my AOS and its still valid

You have two options

1. bring a new one to the interview. Only down side is you need to pay again;

2. don't bring a new one to the interview. You saved some $$ but risk the case being delayed if somehow they lost your medical or it's actually expired when you thought it's not.

11/2020 i485 application was received (NBC)
01/2021 fingerprint was taken

no movement for 2 years

01/2023 finally decided to file mandamus
notice served to us attorneys and after 2 weeks received rfe on 01/17/23.

Any updates on this?

Filed my mandamus yesterday. 485 was pending since 10/2020
The case was filed with Medical initially.
I hope I won't get interviewed.

2 days after i mailed i693 RFE my case was approved .i already received my Permanent Residence Card.
they backdated my Residence since date by a year.
San Francisco Field office approved my case without interview.

since your initial medical was 2 years ago , they will probably send you an RFE for medical as-well . May i know what will be your Field Office ?

The case is pending at NBC/MSC initially. I do not know how to check the field office tbh. Brooklyn or Queens maybe.
Should I get my medical ready? It takes another week for my PCP to fill the form up
