As of right who passed their processing time due additional review is completely helpless.

You cannot make inquiry over the phone and You cannot inquire with congressman due not in processing time, if you're in NYC no infopass anymore unless it's an emergency.

You may submit a request with Ombudsman office but it will takes 120 business days. (A year maybe)

Only finally solution is waiting or file mandamus.
You are right it is ridicules ..... it moving backward its third time when the date moved back to February
and you are right on Congressman en-query too cause every time congressman called NSC the same answer "your case is active but going through additional review" Big BS..
some time i fed up after listening to family members and friend have be patient and wait.

Thanks for your response if anything changed will update .....

I?m so feel this too ((( . We have to stay patient. Someone getting in 3-5 month and someone waiting for years. I think it?s because we applied from NY. 💪🏻 Stay strong 💪🏻

Well there are some people who got approval faster than some other. It's not all who has delay processing their cases in NYC.

Because if you have tiny bit of issue to be additionally reviewed then it's your bad luck.

Because my case was outside normal processing time for 5 months and then after the interview they back dated to year. So now since they didn't procees mine, there are too many cases that not process in NYC for sure.

Waiting is killing and cannot make inquiry is more disturbing in NYC.

                  • I485 form question

                    Hello,
On i485 there?s a question ?is your spouse applying with you??
I?m a principal applicant, my wife with me in the US.
Do I need to check that checkbox only if we send all forms in one packet?
Couldn?t find any useful info on this.
                    Thanks

From what I understand, you can apply just by yourself (answering no to that question), and later send the form for spouse or other dependent. If you send the forms together (you and spouse), then you answer yes there and send all required documents for spouse, including an I-485.

                      • My i-485 journey

                        Hello everyone,
I am reading this feed for a while. Thanks to all of you for sharing your experience.
So, I decided to share mine.
                        So far:
October 18 2018 - My i-485 is received in Nebraska center
November 20 - Fingerprints are done
February 25 - Fingerprints review was completed (No clue why it took so long)
February 28 - no news, looking forward to my green card

In the meantime, I applied twice for the Travel Document after I applied for my adjustment of status.
First time I send my papers USCIS send me a deny because I didn't attach the payment (which I was not supposed to attach)
The second time I send the same pack of papers didn't change anything but attached a cover letter explaining why I am not attaching payment and they accept my documents.

Let's stay motivated and not too crazy about receiving green cards they'll come for all of us (even though I am checking for updates couple times a day=)))

I just have never heard that it happens. Did you call them to find out what's going on with your case? I feel that we are still in a totally normal timeline....
