  • Request for intial evidence

I applied for green card based on asylum on 1/18/18. And yesterday 3/9/19 I recieved request for intial evidence. The officer needs clarification on two questions on the form I-485 that I have submitted. So, do I need to fill the whole form again or just answer the 2 questions he asked about? Thanks in advance

. It takes care of scheduling interviews for I-485., the NBC prepares the applications for adjudication, ensures the case is complete in all ways, and then schedules the interview.
That?s what I knew. Again I?m not a paralegal or lawyer.
        Stay positive.

I think you better talk to the lawyer. This days they become very strict with application if they didn?t like something or it?s done not the way they used to, they will return your case back . Better be on a safe side.

Have you tried to contact your congressman or senator? They can act as liaison between you and USCIS to get accurate status of your case.
                All the best!!

I already contacted them and even called L2 multiple times. They're saying my case is not outside normal processing time since USCIS backdated the processing time to March 31, 2017.

USCIS customer service told me that I have to wait 207 days make an inquiry from NSC. And same answer from congressman/senator office.

                    • 2 EAD at the same time?

                      Hi,

I have EAD card based on my asylum case. Last year I married to USC and applied for I485.

I am wondering if I can apply for EAD based on marriage as well when I still have another EAD card?

No, that was just a hypothetical question. I applied from Missouri.

                            My status didn?t changed.
                            Applied March 2018
                            Fingerprints May 2018
Case transferred from Nebraska to Texas on July 2018
And it has been nothing since then.
                            Keep myself positive.

                            • Why do you want to apply again to get second EAD? Just use the asylum one which is valid for 2 years which can be renewed before 90 days if it is about to be expired. If you have canceled/withdrawn your asylum case then I would re-apply for EAD card based on marriage to U.S citizen.

Just find your local immigration doctor and go to his/her office. They should know everything and tell you which shots you need. Exam results are valid for 1 year
