Today finally case status changed to new card is being produced . It took me 7 years from filing for asylum to I-485 approval, to get my green card. I sent I-485 in March 2018 and today finally something good happened to me. Thank you guys for supporting each other for all these years. God bless everyone and good luckLast edited by Roma Zmlv; 05-14-2021, 09:29 AM.

Hello everyone! Maybe here someone can make a clear vision or had some experience.
-May 2019 was asylum interview/ approved
-June 2019 got a new EAD card
-May 2020 sent i485 to USCIS
-June 2020 received application
-July 2020 “fingerprints were taken”
And since that time we don’t have any updates on USCIS web site. Besides this, my EAD card going to expire in upcoming June. I heard somewhere like I’ll get a GC when my EAD’s expiration date will come. Anybody had experience with similar case? Thanks.
p.s. without EAD card or GC I’m not able to update my drivers license. DMV don’t want to recognize “white card”

I have got my EAD two times already while my GC is still pending.
In order to get the Driving License in any state, all you need is only I94 card of Asylee which says “Asylum Status Granted Indefinitely”
If they say they can’t issue DL without EAD then you need to talk to the supervisor or manager.

Anybody knows here what’s the process of getting real id license or anybody has got It? Please state your state.
im in NJ and I also saw New York. The way the list is made it seems like the only way to get it if you have ead or green card?
now if we give them ead I know they will give us short expiry that it tagged to ead expiration. Not the full long expiration one
im seeing only DC has listed I-94 asylum acceptable proof.
anybody here has experience in this yet?

Hey guys. I'm wondering if someone has a good attorney who is experienced in asylum-based green cards. I need advice. I was granted asylum in May 2017 and applied for green card in March, 2018. I messed up but not waiting 1 year and now 3 years later they sent me a RFE asking to provide a proof that I have been present in the United States for 1 year after being granted asylum prior to applying for green card. I'm not sure what to respond and how to prove that, I also don't know why they haven't denied my application right away and made me wait all this time. I could really use a good attorney here so any contacts or an advice appreciated.

I think the documents to proof that you are present in US for 1 year after Asylum granted would be Copy of your passport last stamped, RTD last stamp, Telephone Bill, Utility Bill, Internet Bill, Auto Insurance, Home Rental or Mortgage Payments, Water Bill etc.,
Getting RFE is always better than getting application denied. If it denied, it will be on your records forever and will create big headache for the future applications.
