treehouse Congratulations! I have the same story, I filed on 02/17/17 and my status is still "finger print payment has received". I did multiple case inquiry and finally contacted through Senator but I didn't help. But I still didn't try through Ombudsman. Do you think contacting them helps?
Thanks,

In case you were unaware. Effective Aug. 12, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services temporarily extended the validity period of the Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record (Form I-693) for up to 4 years since the date the form I-693 was signed by the civil surgeon. The new rule applies only to those I-485 which were adjudicated on or before September 30, 2021.Last edited by Sylver; 08-13-2021, 06:42 PM.

Finally, a great news for me!
I applied in October of 2018 at TSC. My fingerprints were accepted twice, the last time on Feb 27, 2020. I contacted my local congressman two times in 2020, then a senator 3 times in 2021 and nothing worked. I then sent a letter to President Biden. In two months, I received a response from the White House saying that they sent my letter to a proper federal agency. In two weeks, USCIS sent me an email saying that they received my letter and started working on my case.
On July 30, I received a request for evidence. I sent them a new I-693 which they received on Aug 4.
My case status changed to New Card is Being Produced on Aug 12.
I wish everyone good luck in getting your green cards as soon as possible!

The only problem is that the officer can ask for a new one at any time.
We received a second RFE for I-693 over 4 months before the first one expired.
Even the doctor said "why are you doing this again? is not been 2 years since your previous exam"Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

If they requested a new form without a reason before the previous one expired, I believe you could respond by citing the proper guidance in the Policy Manual. For example, right now, USCIS says that If they sent you a Request for Evidence (RFE) because your I-693 had expired after two years, but it is valid under the temporary extension to four years and you meet the requirements, you should respond to the RFE by citing, printing out or otherwise mentioning the new policy.
The Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record (Form I-693) that you submitted in support of your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, is no longer valid. Therefore, please submit a new Form I-693 completed by a designated civil surgeon to this office together with a copy of this notice. The Form I-693 must be signed by a civil surgeon no more than sixty days before the applicant files the underlying application for which Form I-693 is required.
They received our I-693 5 months ago, I don't understand why the approval is taking so long.Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center

Because it only said "is no longer valid" without any extra information we decided to send a new one. At this point, the old I-693 is more than 2 years, so even if they accepted at that time that they made a mistake they would have sent an RFE in June and we will have to do the medical exam again.

In this situation, reach out to your senator's office first, explain what happened and ask them to make an inquiry to USCIS on your behalf. You can also call USCIS and speak with the Immigration Officer Tier II who might shed light on the delay.
I am like many have no choice, but to wait..
