My status got changed to "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" since 9th of September(48 days ago). Any idea how long it takes for the field office to schedule? When I check processing time in FO it does not say for this specific category. I am in Dallas

Nobody is gonna know how long it is gonna take for YOU.

Even if 99.999% applicants in Dallas has been scheduled does not mean you will be scheduled.

It’s pointless to ask this type of questions and you just need to wait. It could be couple of months to about a year.

HI everyone! I was granted June 2021 I have a question about strategy for filing I-485. I am currently living in Virginia, but I am moving to New York in August 2022. Should I file my I-485 in June using my Virginia address, or should I wait until August and file using my New York address? I heard Texas Service Center is much slower than Nebraska so I was thinking of waiting the two months to file when I move to New York.

Are you a derivative applicant, do you know why you are being scheduled for an interview ?

This is a useless question. There is no point why you need to learn why somebody is scheduled for an interview.

Most of the time it's no reason at all. Just an interview to go over basic information on the form.

It seems now the adjudication of asylum based I-485 has shifted from service centers to field offices so I would expect to see more and more interviews.

Because I have been waiting damn too long like most of us have been. I used my congressman to expedite my case. But obviously it didn’t help.

My time line for asylum based I-485 application:
Nov 12 2019 Application was submitted
Dec 16 2019 Fingerprints was taking
Oct 4 2021 Expedite process request was submitted
Oct 7 2021 Expedite process request was denied

Does any one has experience with filling a law suit against USCIS for delay in making a decision? My case is pending 26 months now and my lawyer is advising the only way to make the case moving is to file a law suit in DC?

I think 26 months will be considered unreasonable processing time by the federal judge. I agree with your lawyer. Please update if there is anything new

I am planning to file a law suit as well. Filed my I-485 on May 2018, which is about 42 months and still no decision from TSC.

Do you think it’s a good idea if I filed a law suite?
