Asylum Based i-485

I am not sure what do you mean by it is not RFE while it clearly says RFE. I spoke to live agent, obviously they had no clue as always. But now I am recalling when there was an online status change for initial RFE, I didn’t received actual notice by the date it was mentioned on the status. So I submitted and e-request for the copy. After a week or so I received initial notice requesting for medical.

Now I am thinking that they must have responded to my e-request without even looking where my case at.

It's not RFE until you received it. It could be processing error, programming error, system glitches etc. It might be your original RFE notice being returned. Who knows.

There is no need to second guessing here and it gets you nowhere.

Like I said, just wait for 4 weeks and submit e-request.

Agent has no visibility about this.

Stop second guessing and asking this types of questions.

there is nothing you can do but wait or sue DHS.

If you don't want to sue, just WAIT. Your case will be processed soon (most likely within the next 6 months).

Like I said, it's useless to second guess. It won't help you.

Just wait for the RFE. Nothing serious is expected (most likely for updated medical), otherwise they would have called you in for an interview.

True, I also heard they aren't calling everyone for an interview and that some just get it granted. I hope that's the case for me

Even if you have an interview, there is nothing to worry about unless you have serious defects in your case, in which case you should ask for an attorney.

Just relax, the hardest part is over.

Best suggestion anyone can give you -

1. Sue DHS; or
2. Sit tight and wait.

Nothing else helps. Especially asking such a question here will only make it feels worse.

Just wait and your case will be processed.

Hi all, does anyone know the process after asylum based i485 interview at local service center, i.e. does the immigration officer at local service center after interview sends the file back to another office where asylum i485 are processed or they approve at local service center and sent the GC. It depends.

Most cases (i.e. those without any inadmissibility concerns) will be adjudicated in the field office.

However, for cases that might involve national security, fraud, identity issues, security clearance, and other issues, cases might be transferred to HQ, fraud unit, asylum office, or on hold until clearance is received.

You will not know when your case will be approved. The only sure way it can be resolved quickly is to sue.

And like I said, it's useless you ask the question here because nobody knows what happened to your case.

My case was on hold for 22 years on inadmissibility grounds but my question is after my recent interview 6 months ago as I mentioned I was already interviewed after the case was on hold for 22 years, again I like to repeat I was interviewed six months ago which would mean that the case was released to my local office, I also don't understand what do you mean by field office is it my local USCIS office? Thanks.

it does not matter you are interviewed or not.

Some case involve complex legal reasoning that will be sent to HQ for review, after getting facts and statements from you through interview.

Like I said, nobody knows exactly where your case is right now (though chances are it's not in field office or field office is waiting for clearance).
