Just to share my experience real quickly.Below are my timelines.
Married to a USC in Nov 2016
Raleigh,NC filer
PD - 01/31/17
Biometrics - 03/06/17
Interview Notice - 04/12/17
Interview date - 05/15/17
Online Status:I-485 Case Approved same day.I-765 new card is being produced.
Interview went smoothly,took 10 mins, and it seemed to me like normal chat with a friend,male IO in his mid 30's,asked us basic questions:How did you meet,what date did you marry?What are your parent-in-law's full names,do you have pictures and documents that substantiate your marriage(handed him our bank statement,lease,utility bills,health insurance,photos album.Asked us where we work at?Then the yes and no questions on my application.Told us he has no problem with approval and that I should expect GC in the mail within 2 weeks.Also,advised on how to remove conditions before 2 years following 05/15/17.
Advice:Know pretty much all the info you filled in your application.Dress well preferrably business casual and maintain eye contact and be real as much as you can....know your spouse's family well,have friends witness your wedding(court) and have pictures with them.I was told it helps a lot in making decisions.Wish you all goodluck!
