  • I-751 form

    Hi

Can I notarize form I-751 when completing it?

Notarization is not necessary for most immigration-related forms. An original signature is considered legally binding.

      I-751 Remove conditions.

My partners green card will expire October 1, 2017. We will be mailing it by July 1st. How long it will take until he receives his 10 year green card.
Also, we will be applying jointly. When USCIS sends the biometrics appointment, will they require both of us to attend the biometrics, or only him?

      Thank you,

It takes about 6+ months for a renewal of GC. Only the applicant is expected at the Biometrics appt.

Your I-751 receipt from USCIS will give you a one-year extension of your Conditional status, allowing you to reenter the U.S. if you travel outside the U.S.

How long does it take to get the 1 year extension? Or the i-797 receipt issued is automatically Considered to be the 1 year extension. I just want a clearer understanding from the one I had. Thanks

The I-751 receipt Notice of Action IS YOUR ONE-YEAR EXTENSION, with a written description in body of the receipt.
