I have a question on international travel, while having left the job I received the L1-visa through which I entered.
Details:
- Entered the US on an L1 visa ~6 months after being married
- Currently awaiting scheduling of I485 interview
- I765 and I131 approved - I have my Employment Authorization Card with advanced parole (received mid April)
- I've left the L1 job. My L1 job was a rotation to the US office. They were gracious enough to keep extending the rotation on a per-project basis. However, it could no longer be extended - so I left the firm (on May 1st).
- The L1 visa was valid until 2018 - so plenty of time left on it. Of course, no longer valid since I no longer work there.
My question is this: Can I travel abroad now, given that I have Advance Parole even though I no longer work for the L1 job? If yes, should I enter on the L1 visa, or do I simply show the EAC at immigration?
Many thanks!
