  • I-94 expiring

I am on B2 status and my I-94 is expiring on June 13th, 2017. I married my fiancé who is a US Citizen and filed my I-485 and I-130 right away (05/26/17). USPS tracking says that the package got delivered two days ago (5/28/17). Now I just realized that I forgot to include the biometrics fee on the check for the I-485 filing fee (check for I-130 is correct), now I'm wondering if I can just send an additional check to USCIS before they reject my application so that there wouldn't be a delay? I'm afraid that if they reject it and take them long to return the application my I-94 would have been expired already. Please help!

    Sorry about that.

It is hard to say, since you don't have form I-797C (Notice of action) yet? If you send payment for Bio-metric without a way to associate it with your application, which is the essence of form I-797C, they might probably send that back to you as well. Similar thing happened to me a couple of days ago. In my case, I overpaid. I resent my application yesterday.

Some people might have better ideas, otherwise, just wait until your package comes back and resend it with correct fee. Good luck!

      Dont worry
Many people make this mistake and i also made this mistake a couple of days ago. Your i94 limit does nt matter as you are applying for adjustment of status. Wait for the package to come back and then reapply with the correcr fee. You ll be fine.
