    • Green card arrived

10/2/2017, Green card arrived, was at home waiting on the mail, mail final came but only bills, 5 mins later mail lady return and it was my card, she didn't notice it in the pile before. Praises to the most high. Hope this will be a successful week for everyone who are having interviews, waiting on EAD/AP, etc.

            Thank you! will do.

Walbrzyszanka21, I would definitely visit the congressman, it doesn't matter that you have an EAD through DACA, you should receive your EAD according to Priority date, cause that's what USCIS promotes.

I am going today after work. Did the congressman's office have you sign anything? Like regarding privacy? My guess is so that you are okay with them talking on your behalf

My interview is around the corner and I don't have my original birth certificate. My cousin traveled to my country and she helped me pick it up when she came back, but she sent it to me from NJ since last week Wednesday and I'm yet to receive it, I'm scared it got lost in the mail or something... Will this be a problem when I go for my interview?

If the IO wants verify the copy you sent in your package, it may become an issue, but not where you will be denied or anything so, you may get a RFE. At my interview the IO didn't not verified anything. Did your cousin send you doc in a certified mail? If so call the service provider and find out where it is.

She didn't send it through certified mail. She just dropped it in the mail box and there's no way of tracking it. I went for my interview today, and it didn't go too well I guess, I was let to wait in the waiting room while my wife was called in, and she was interviewed for 80 min before letting her out, and I went in and spent like 40 min for my own interview. The OI was very intimidating, she asked all sort of questions, and didn't let anything slide. At the end of the interview, she said I'm gonna be getting a letter in the mail requesting some additional documents. Does that shows I'm not being denied?

You are trying to read tea leaves here. As long as your marriage is bonafide and you have no inadmissibility issues you will be fine. It might take longer or you might face more scrutiny but eventually you will receive your green card. Just wait for the letter and then make your strategy then. I have seen cases here where they were told to wait for letter in mail only to be approved.

Sounds like you will get a RFE, and that's ok, just send what the ask for within the time frame and you will be on your way to celebration. Some people came out of their interviews very doubtful and was approve so don't 'worry yuh self"
