Processing times for Chicago? Yea I know but still it sucks that there is a possibility for a long wait. I will call in November to expedite my I-765 case since my DACA EAD is expiring in January.

Code 1 Biometric

WELL, today I got a biometric appointment notice code 1 for application type I-485. In June I did bio code 2 for application type I-485 - I-765, anyone has an idea as to why a code 1 ?

Expedited EAD

I am a Boston June filer. Concurrent 130+485+765***31 filing.
Priority date: jun 22. Biometrics done: jul 12
Current status: 485 - case ready to be scheduled for interview, 131, 765 and 131 - case received

I currently am on L1 visa (valid till april 2018) and do have a good job. I was just never worried about when i would receive EAD or interview as it did not affect my daily life at home or work as L1 was just fine and EAD/interview were to happen when ever they were to. But I was unexpectedly approached with a job offer (with me not actively pursing) last week and its great and better than current one. I cannot change employers on L1 visa.
I understand USCIS is under no obligation to issue me an EAD until end of september (90 days from jun 22), but is a job offer good enough grounds to request USCIS for expedited EAD. Please let know if any one had or heard of such experiences ?

Iam boston filer too , May filler priority date 5/15/2017 , it's been 85 days now and there is no progress on my case only i did biometrics 6/8/2017 ,
Yes you can ask to expedite your EAD if you have a valid job offer ..
I got a job offer 3 weeks ago and asked uscus to expedite my EAD on 7/25/2017 i got an email frim them requesting the job offer as an evidence .. i faxed the job iffer the same day , and i contacted my congress man too he asked my to fill up a form and sugn it to contact the uscis on my behalf .. he contacted the uscus on 9/1/2017 and he told me they will respond within a week , and now iam waiting for any response !!!
Sometimes they respond sometimes no !! And also the process is taking more than the 90 days ..!
Lets see whats gonna happen , i'll let you know if any thing new comes up

USCIS does not give real time status as of today but with a lag.
