The processing time for EAD is between 75 and 90 days but lately that has not been happening so I would contact your congress person. Not sure how quickly they will respond to you but I would give it a try. Once you raise an SR, if you did it on the website, you should receive an e-mail confirming your SR and it usually states when to expect a response. I submitted a case inquiry (SR) on 9/2 and I should get a reply on or before 9/24. We will see.

What do I write in the message I intend sending to the congress person? Do I just tell him I need him or her to call on my behalf to check the progress of my case or what?

I am EB2 green card filer. I heard that starting from October, every EB2 filer also has to go through interview. This is new. I have not seen any discussion on EB2-based interview. Hope someone can post some details in here too

I called their customer service and told them i wanted to expedite based on loss of income, because i am not working at the moment and trying to find a job. They didn't ask for any sort of evidence but i was also close to the 75th day when did ask for an expedite request for my ead/ap. I also contacted my state senator's office although i am not entirely sure how much they had to do with it.

Timeline update - interview scheduled!

Hi Everyone!

Last Thursday the 14th of Sept I awoke at 4am to an email saying my case had been updated. Went online to check thinking it would be my EAD being approved but instead was surprised to see that my interview has been scheduled for next month on October 16th at 12:15pm! My husband and I are happy to see things moving so quickly

My EAD and I-130 are still at "Case was Received".

Have a great day and here's a quick summary of my timeline below!

PD: June 19th
BIO: July 14th
RFE: July 16th (For missing form I-130A)
RFE Response received by USCIS: July 19th
Interview Scheduled: September 14th (For October 16th)
Interview Notice Received: September 18th

Filing from Los Angeles. Case was received at NBC and my interview will take place at the Los Angeles Field Office.

Thank you! I'm surprised to hear they didn't ask you for evidence and object the expedition like many other cases. Congrats again, EAD is a huge step, now you can patiently wait for your interview
